Not an uncommon problem, apparently
The development of the cool, calamine-colored “Name Your Poison” rum-strawberry blender concoction (on page 66 of Peterson’s Happy Hour) was inspired by/ripped-off from a true-life “adventure.”
A former Peterson co-worker–let’s call him “Justin”–had been clearing weeds in the backyard of his newly-purchased home. Only to discover–TOO LATE!– that some of those weeds were a little… sinister. And that poison ivy can spread to all sorts of pesky places before you’re aware of what hit you…
Peterson–whose exposure to gardening is limited to watering her lone plant when it droops in a begging gesture–learned that this was not at all uncommon. She vowed to do her part to help soothe the uncomfortable weed-whacking masses… or, at least, take their minds off the itch.
