Where did George Washington get his take-out?

Blame the weather or the writer’s life but, quite frankly, this past winter I was too damn inert to walk / hop the subway to visit any of the cultural and historic treasures that are in my own urban backyard. On her recent visit, Jane Austen got around NYC more than I had, lately…

But this past week I busted out — woo hoo! — and was aided and abetted by the annual Night at the Museums event and book publishing friends who explored tavern “history” with me. Strictly for research purposes, of course.
