Rumor has it that the mother-in-law was a ringer on the 1948 Norwegian Olympic bobsled team and, considering her daredevil moves, you don’t doubt it. Despite the swelling and your inability to move it, she insists that your wrist isn’t actually fractured. You use your good hand to access your hip flask — thankfully, you proactively brought along a warm, traditional, whiskey “medicinal.”
Ingredients
- 1 ounce blended whiskey, such as Seagram’s
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/4 wedge of lemon
- 4 ounces (1/4 cup) boiling water
Instructions
- Put the whiskey and honey in a mug. Squeeze lemon juice into the mug, then drop in the wedge as well. Pour the boiling water into the mug and stir until thoroughly mixed.
